Cancer Metastasis & Drug Resistance: Two Major Sources of Cancer Lethality

Cancer and Metastasis

Cancer metastasis generally leads to the biological failure in one or multiple essential tissues and organs, followed by cancer lethality. Over the last century, intensive studies have been conducted on the mechanisms of cancer metastasis. From these studies, several hypotheses have been raised and cancer drugs are developed, however, approximately 10 million cancer deaths occur annually worldwide while about 90 million are diagnosed with cancer.

This suggests that the way in which cancer metastasizes is still not fully understood. Additionally, the protective barrier provided by the CCs and CCTs can lead to conventional cancer drug resistance resulting in uncontrolled and aggressive cancer metastasis.

Precise, Effective, and Efficient Cancer Therapy

Precise, Effective, and Efficient Cancer Therapy

At Cellphar, we are developing precise, effective, and efficient cancer therapies that penetrate and eliminate the protective barrier and pathway of cancer cells provided by the cytocapsula, cytocapsular tubes (CCTs), CCT networks, and CCT network-tumor systems (CNTSs) in tissues and bone marrow.

This allows drugs and therapies access to reach and treat the cancer, creating opportunities for normal tissues and organ recovery.
